Dad

D

Dad,
You saw me grow,
From my childhood,
To my teen,
To my adult life.
You gave me courage,
When I needed it the most.
You gave me advice,
When I couldn’t think.
You were there,
Where I needed you to stand by my side.
You made time for me,
Even when you had a busy schedule.
You let me free,
When you thought I was ready to fly.
You were right Dad,
I did it.
Thank you Dad.

You gave me a bond,
A bond that was so powerful,
That no man could break.
You taught me so many things,
From everyday dangers,
On how to do my best,
On how to keep our memories safe.
You walked alongside me with my little hand,
And showed I have many things yet to learn,
You showed me never to give up,
Just the way you never did.
This bond between us, has so many memories that you share with me while holding my little hand.
I will never leave your hand the way you never left mine Dad.

Dad I don’t know what to say,
Cause such moments are the ones we remember the most,
The moments we shared together in pain and happiness,
Words cannot explain such moments,
But my eyes captured everything it had to,
Dad you were everything to me,
I’ve loved you my whole life,
You were my king,
My hero,
My Mufasa who will stay in my heart forever.
